Wild Plants & Medicinals Walk (Marin County)
Wild Plants & Medicinals Walk (Marin County)
Take a hike with herbalist Erin McKinsey and learn about the abundance of wild edible and medicinal plants at Mount Tamalpais State Park. This is a great class for anyone who wants to go on a beautiful hike and learn about local wild foods and medicinal plants, as well as how to harvest and utilize them. Each class lasts about 3 hours and is suitable for novice and veteran foragers and herbalists alike.
Kids are welcome! Children ages 6-12 can join a paying adult for FREE (limit of 2 free kid tickets per group). This class is educational and lecture-style with lots of walking and plant identification - we find it works best for teens and adults. Younger children are absolutely welcome to come along, but the format can be a lot for little ones to stay engaged with for the full 2-3 hours. We want you to have a great experience, so just keep that in mind when deciding if it's the right fit for your family!
