forageSF

History

forageSF has been doing this since before foraging was trendy.

Since 2008, forageSF has helped people learn mushrooms, seaweed, coastal harvests, wild plants, and the food culture of the Bay Area through public classes, seasonal walks, and private group events.

Started small

The business grew from wild food curiosity, local field knowledge, and a lot of excitement about sharing unusual food experiences with other people.

Kept evolving

Over the years forageSF has run classes, markets, dinners, coastal adventures, seasonal mushroom walks, plant walks, and private events for groups.

Still grounded

The current focus is clear: excellent guided public classes and memorable private events for teams, clients, families, birthdays, retreats, and friends.

What shapes the dayDate, tides, terrain, group size, comfort level, and guide availability decide the route and format.

Looking for a group event?

Wild plant walks are usually the easiest private format to plan. Coast, shellfish, seaweed, mushrooms, and cooking options depend on tide, timing, group size, and guide availability.
