forageSF started in 2008 with a simple idea: the Bay Area is full of edible, seasonal, surprising food stories, and people should be able to learn them with a real guide outside.

What we do

We run guided public classes around mushrooms, seaweed, shellfish, coastal foraging, and wild edible plants. Private events are shaped around the date, group, season, tides, and guide availability.

How it feels

Practical, local, hands-on, and a little strange in the best way. The point is not to turn everyone into solo experts; it is to give people a memorable guided day outside.
