A Few of the Best Ways to Enjoy Wild Seaweed

There are many reasons to get into foraging for wild seaweed. One of the main ones is how delicious this superfood is. Northern California is home to many different kinds of seaweed. The best way to prepare your dish might depend on what species of seaweed you were able to get your hands on!

Before preparing any sort of seaweed dish, it’s important to clean your kelp properly. You can do this by swirling it around in a bowl of water, taking it out, and putting it back into new water. Repeat this at least 3 times to ensure that the seaweed has been properly rinsed. You can then dry and save it for future use. To bring the seaweed back to its natural texture, all you need to do is let it soak in warm water for about 5 minutes and then give it a quick rinse!

Below are a few of the best ways to enjoy some fresh, wild seaweed.
