Iso Rabins founded forageSF in the fall of 2008. As a “not-only-for-profit” business, its original purpose was to support local foragers so that foraging could become a viable full-time profession.
Since our start, we've stuck to the mission of supporting the local food community through multiple projects: the Underground Market, the Wild Kitchen, and our new project, Forage Kitchen, a co-working space for making food. We mean to grow the local food economy by establishing a community of support for small food businesses, and by creating good, decent jobs that help advance the food movement.
