Private events
What can you eat on your land?
Are you curious what's wild and edible on your land? We can walk the property with your group and teach you what is useful, seasonal, edible, or worth learning more about.
This is shaped from forageSF wild plant field knowledge and private-event requests from people who want to understand what grows on their own land.
What the day can feel like
Instead of meeting at one of our usual routes, we come to your place and treat the property itself as the classroom.
The sell is simple: you want to know what you can eat on your land, and we'll help you start seeing it. We won't promise a giant harvest, but we can help your group understand what might be edible, medicinal, invasive, useful, or worth leaving alone.
What your group can learn
What common edible or useful plants may be growing right where you live, work, or gather.
How season, water, soil, access, and disturbance change what is visible on a given day.
What is worth paying attention to later, and when a specialist or follow-up visit would make sense.
Good fit for
Landowners, ranches, retreat centers, farms, large yards, schools, estates, and private properties.
Groups that want a site-specific experience rather than a public route.
People who are curious about their own land and want a guided starting point.
Planning notes.
- Send the location, acreage or rough size, terrain notes, and what you are hoping to learn.
- Photos are helpful, but you do not need to know what anything is before you ask.
- We'll tell you whether a private-property walk seems like a good fit for the season and site.
Compare the other options.
If this is close but not quite right, these are the other private-event starting points.
Ask about your property.
Send the basics and we'll help with the rest. The adventure field is already set to the closest fit.
- Date or flexible window.
- Group size and occasion.
- Location preference or property address, if relevant.
- Anything your group needs to feel comfortable outside.
