Iso Rabins founded forageSF in the fall of 2008. As a “not only for profit” business, its original purpose was to support local foragers so that foraging could become a viable full-time profession.
Since our start we've stuck to the mission of supporting the local food community through multiple projects: the Underground Market, the Wild Kitchen, and our new project, Forage Kitchen, a co-working space for food. We mean to grow the local food economy by creating a community of support for small food businesses, and by creating jobs with respect that help to push forward the food movement.
