Catering in San Francisco : Private Dinners

Our private events bring together our favorite dishes from four years of creating our underground supperclub, The Wild Kitchen. Our menus, which change seasonally, incorporate the most delicious wild edibles our area has to offer, and finish with locally raised organic meats and veggies. All our meals are served family style on communal tables. Feast with us while our chefs explain what we are cooking for you, where it came from, and why we love what we do.

A Forage Feast - Eight Course Dinner

If you want a true Wild Kitchen experience, this is the way to go. A festive night of three carefully selected hors d’oeuvres to whet your appetite, a three-course family style meal followed by delicious dessert, bringing together our favorite dishes from over the past four years.

While the exact menu change will change with the seasons, a typical eight-course meal might include seaside charcuterie plate of smoked black cod brandade, quick fried night smelt, and house made coppa. Follow that with a salad of Wild Foraged Greens with Fennel Dust, Crisp Wild Nettle Soup, Wild Bay Brined Roast Pork with Forest Mushroom Polenta, and Candy Cap Crème Brûlée. You will not be disappointed.

Five Course

A slightly smaller menu, starting with a small amuse bouche then followed by a hearty starter. Think Wild Nettle Soup or a Salad of Foraged Greens and wild flowers. A second course featuring one main dish: Think Oil Poached Albacore with Seabean and Tomato Sauté, or Nettle Pesto Gnocchi with House Smoked Black Cod. An individually-plated or family-style dessert: Think Candy Cap Crème Brûlée, or Foraged Kumquat White Chocolate Pudding with a Rose Geranium Scented Tuile.

Three Course

A pared down, but still filling, menu of the above.

* There is a minimum booking fee of $1000, service fees not included. All forageSF menus are seasonal and focused on the forageable bounty of the region!
